A taste from the press release:

"I am a slave of intuition.... - but as long as I fill myself with Beauty, Truth and Goodness this is not unpleasant. The problem is of course that they sink into the seemingly bottomless volcano that is my heart and in this struggle and turmoil, my art is born - partly dark, partly light; and all the colours in between.

"But see for yourself, for you also have eyes in your heart."

"Ari Kovero uses powerful colours to create symbolic-abstract images. In a manner of speaking he is actually writing the painting with colour, using the palette knife rather than the brush as his 'pen'. The signs he makes form a whole as in ancient picture writing or Native American sand-writing. They do not however form a 'secret language' but rather a memorial tapestry totally open to vision. Signs like the cross, a check or a circle are signs that everyone understands and knows but in the painting they receive different and new meanings depending on their position, size and colour - and these signs are connected to the codes of gender. In some places the signs form a language that intergrates with the painting forming neon-like, astonishing brightness. The all but impossible integration of glaring colours has succeeded in this trans-gender feast."
